"...If you want something fast and cheap, this will work. If you want something solid, durable, and stable... spend more money...." Read more
Customers like the mic. They say it's a great mic stand for any of the lighter recording equipment, it' s solid and reliable, and a good choice for almost every mic'ing situation. It works well for lighter mics, but heavier ones make the arms slowly drop even after. The adapter was smooth and worked for any microphone clip that they could use.
"...getting to the mic. But, I digress. Solid mic stand. Still holding up after almost 13 yrs." Read more
"...This is the best all around mic stand that I have ever encountered." Read more
"...So I gave it five stars not because it's a freakishly good stand, but just because, with care, it tends to fall apart less quickly than other stands..." Read more

Customers generally like the size of the microphone stand. They say that it's the right size, takes up less space than using camera tripods, and fits perfectly with their mic. They also say that the stand is well-made and perfect for their Blue Yeti. Customers also say the stand's parts fit well together and operate smoothly, and the boom arm is about 3 feet long.
"...It arrived in brand new condition. The fit and finish were very good, as I've come to expect for Chinese hardware...." Read more
"...The parts fit well together and operate smoothly...." Read more
"...Being that the mic is only around 6 foot tall and thats pushing it, its hard to hang the mic upside down and get it high enough to meet your vocals...." Read more
"...I absolutely LOVE this stand, it is well made, and perfect for my Blue Yeti...." Read more
Customers are mixed about the stability of the microphone stand. Some mention that it does an amazing job of holding their Yeti, while others say that it will fall over sometimes. There is some instability in the extreme positions, and the stand gets awfully tippy.
"...Pros-Base is solid, has not tipped over yet. No sliding or bending on any joints or parts, very sturdy. Great paint finish...." Read more
"...mostly year round, and the only issue I've had is a leg or two wanting to flop around when the stand is collapsed for travel...." Read more
"...When placing the stand strait in the air there is no problem the mic stays put...." Read more
"...One fell off the third time I used the stand, and l had to tape the end until I could find a 1/4 x 28 (fine thread) nut. They don't sell the ends!..." Read more
Customers are mixed about the adjustability of the microphone stand. Some mention that the adjustabilty is ok, but be careful when tightening down the levers as they may loosen up. They are able to easily adjust for singing, piano, and violin recordings, and the setup was easy. However, others say that you have to tighten it REALLY tight, and that the locks are light and flimsy, making it difficult to adjust between takes.
"...easy to set up and attach the mic clamp. easy to adjust and looks good. time will tell how it holds up." Read more
"...about five uses the nut and screw at the base of the stand no longer tightens snug enough to hold the bottom tube which now me and the tube slides..." Read more
"...the easy easy EASY adjustments mean you can adjust quickly and less measuring because you can quickly eyeball the symmetrical places you need to..." Read more
"...The height of the unit was perfect and all adjustment knobs allowed for quickly re-positioning the unit for use by others during live events...." Read more
Customers have mixed opinions about the weight of the microphone stand. Some say that it's very light and easy to move, while others say that its heavier than the one in the package deal. The stand is great for lighter, smaller mics, but some say that the mic weight is too much for the stand's clutch to handle. The issue is the unweighted arm and the plastic height locking mechanism, as it gets top heavy easily.
"...The parts fit well together and operate smoothly. It is mechanically light enough that a heavy mic may tip it if you extend the boom to far laterally..." Read more
"...and not meant to be a boom stand of any sort, as it gets top heavy easily. It does a job, and it does a job decent for the excellent price...." Read more
"A nice, light weight and high quality stand for in the studio or performance...." Read more
"...The issues are the unweighted arm and the plastic height locking mechanism." Read more

Side note: From my experience, almost any mic stand will pass vibrations to the microphone. Quick fix: Get one of those blue foam sleeping bag pads from walmart - cut out (3) 4-inch round or square pieces; put them under the 3 contact points of the mic stand's tripod. Or, double that up - cut (6) 4-inch round or square pieces; put 2 each under the 3 contact points of the mic stand's tripod. Works great for stopping indoor vibrations or outdoor vibrations (like waterfalls, etc.) getting to the mic. But, I digress. Solid mic stand. Still holding up after almost 13 yrs.
I know you can have issues with some of the tightening bolts if you really crank hard on them so I watch that but so far none have stripped. I do wish they'd used more robust bolts but for the price compared to those that do have better bolts I can live with that. Besides, if they do strip out I'm sure I can re-tap the hole and use a stronger bolt. My mikes are Shure SM58's and sometimes they can cause the stand to tip if one of the the legs isn't under the boom when it is full extended so I don't usually fully extend the boom and I try to make sure one of the three legs is on the boom side to prevent any tipping. For around a quarter of the price of a heavy duty touring type stand I think these budget stands are a great value and can last a long time with a little care.
To date, I have used this product for 3 band practices and 3 performances at various locations. Is holding up very well so far to all the transportation.
History-
I am in charge of making all "tech/equipment" purchases for our new church. We already had some regular stands and needed some boom stands to allow the guitarist and bassist to sing into the mics. Besides a quality product, I believe it's ultimately up to you to care for your product to make sure it doesn't malfunction early.
Pros-
Base is solid, has not tipped over yet. No sliding or bending on any joints or parts, very sturdy. Great paint finish. I removed the "On Stage" sticker label to make the stage look more professional with no ads for anything (other than the brand labels on the amps and instruments. Sticker came of mostly clean. If you do this, make sure you remove at a steep angle and apply even pressure throughout the process.
Cons-
Product page does not mention whether it comes with a microphone clip or not. Not a problem for people who are replacing equipment but if this is your first or a new addition stand, it will inconvenience you to find the product arrived at your house with no mic clip (buy a mic clip simultaneously with this purchase. Currently a no frills standard "mic clip" runs you more or less $4 on Amazon.)
Note-
I have also lately used these stands to hold lights up so I can have good lighting while I work on my hobby-type projects.
