  2. Select an outdoor location away from other light sources at night, such as street lights. It may cause the solar light not to turn on automatically at night.

If solar lights does not light up after it has been used for around 1-3 months,

Replace the rechargeable batteries as they may be weak or worn out.

Battery 1 pc "AA" 1.2v, Ni-CD, Rechargeable- Same equivalent type as recommended must be used.

2. Make sure the switch is set to "ON" position.(turn on to begin charge)

This will be an update to the original comment that still appears below.
After I had written my review about the short longevity of this product, and without any other effort of my own, I was contacted by "Ace List" and was offered either a refund, an alternate replacement, or a simple replacement of the original product.
I chose the latter, and they have expediently re-sent me a new replacement of the "Crystal Ball Wind Chime" without delay.
So, I would like to add to my current review, that the companies 'Customer Service Department' is worthy of kind praise and compliment for the active way they responded to my 'Amazon Product Review'.
The replacement "Crystal Ball" works very well, but I have not had this one long enough to know if it functions with any improved endurance. Again, my compliments are directed to the encouraging response of this company's efforts to make my purchase more satisfying.
(below is my original review):

I purchased these a few months ago.
I will say that when they work, they are very pretty.
Unfortunately the initial rechargeable battery did not last very long, about 2-3 weeks.
I was initially impressed when the original packaging came with an additional replacement battery. Was able to easily switch-out this replacement, but unfortunately this one too died, (despite being hung in fairly direct sunlight), within only two more weeks or even less.
Not sure if i just have two bad/poor quality rechargeable batteries, or the small solar panels are not working.
Either way - not at all impressed as to how quickly they failed.

The company reached out to me and offered to replace the non working item, which I accepted. It works great. Great customer service. I have updated from a 1 star to a 5 star. The fact that I waited almost 3 months before trying it is entirely my fault, if I had tried immediately after receiving the first one, it wouldn't have been an issue.I

Earlier posting.Never worked. I bought this March 2, 2023. I hung them up last week and it has never worked. I swapped out the spare battery and it still doesn't work. It looks like one of the wirew is barely connected. Of course I can't return them because it's past 30 days. Totally my fault on timing. Live and learn. I bought one 3 years ago and it lasted until January this year, only 2 globes work. They are nice looking when they work.

I bought 2 of these ball strings. At first, they were great. But after a couple months, the balls stopped lighting. Water had gotten into the balls causing the wires to rust. Eventually, the wires broke. They're going in the trash.

These look very pretty at night, not overly attractive during the day. They last about 5 hours before they dim but for the cost not to bad. They do not spin though, I think they are to lite weight for that to happen.
