Customers find the DVD holder fairly simple to put together, with simple and straight-forward instructions. They also mention that the installation is effective with bare wood for the glue to stick.

Customers are satisfied with the appearance of the storage rack. They mention that it has a clever design, the natural wood looks awesome, and it's deceptive looking. The wood/resin material is a good-looking black that smudges slightly, but it matches beautifully and is true to color.

Customers are mixed about the quality of the storage rack. Some mention that it holds most of their movies, has better than expected storage capacity, and holds CDs and Blu-Rays very nicely. However, others say that it's cheaply made, flimsy, and shaky that you can knock it over. The foot pieces are really badly put together and thus end up being wobbly.

1. It has sliding dividers and I love it! This can be used to help hold media that doesn't go all the way to the end, or maybe you have video games or cds that begin on the rack. Either way, it is very useful. The only con to that is it will take away a slot for a dvd, but I love it.
2. It isn't too big. It fit my dimensions very well and doesn't go up too high and look awkward.
3. Box sets seems to be things people are having trouble with. However, I did not, my box sets fit well enough.
Some cons:
- Seems like it could be easily broken. You would definitely want to remove all the media if you are moving it around. I've shifted it some and do not trust it if I had to move it far (it's only around half full right now).
The stand isn't too hard to put together. It takes some time, but it's not difficult, and the instructions were easy enough to follow. It holds as many DVDs as my larger case does, or just about, which is fantastic. If you need a DVD case, this one isn't bad.
Unfortunately, there are a couple negatives.
1. For one thing, the little arms that go on the rods in the back that you can use to hold your DVDs in place if you don't have a full row... they do not always stay in place. It has 5 shelves, and 1 of them is really sturdy and holds DVDs, 1 is ok but not great, and the other 3 slide around so easily that they do not help hold DVDs in on incomplete rows.
2. There are little wooden pieces to go in the holes where the screws are to cover them up and fill the whole. At least half of them didn't fit properly. Some wouldn't go in, some would fall right out, half stayed put. Not a huge deal to me but it might matter to you.
3. Last but not least, this shelf is VERY compact. There is just enough room for a whole DVD case on each row from top to bottom. Unfortunately, while building mine, I must have turned one of the screws too tight because the stand is very slightly lop-sided. This also isn't a big deal to me except that it makes part of the middle row NOT tall enough for a DVD case anymore. If I can figure out the problematic screw(s), I might be able to loosen them and get use of that space back. For now, I'm put Blu-Ray cases there instead, but it's right in the middle of all my DVDs and isn't how I wanted it setup.
If you just keep in mind you'll likely get what you pay for and aren't looking for anything showy, this may suit your needs. Just be mindful when you tighten up the screws to try to make sure the whole thing stays straight so you don't run into the problem I have.
This is the first wood (instead of entirely metal) media rack I've bought and I was a bit worried it wouldn't look as good. I bought the dark colored rack and am pleasantly surprised with how nice it looks. It matches the rest of my furniture and even the metal media racks I already had~
As to the media it holds I would say 150 is about right. I haven't counted up how many dvds I fit on it but it is full with a lot of singles and a smattering of box sets. The singles fit on all of the shelves without any issues, as long as they did not have a slipcover. Slipcovered dvds still fit but are a bit tighter and you might worry about the paper getting damaged. For sets that are the size of dvd singles (e.g. thinpacks in a paper sleeve) they fit as well as the slipcovered dvds did. Blurays had plenty of room to move around. I did put several regular (non-thinpack) dvd boxsets on the top. I was a bit worried that everything was going to topple over when I did that, since my boxsets are quite heavy when compared to singles. However the rack has stayed completely stable, even though it is a bit top heavy. I've been checking it occasionally to make sure it is not leaning or moving and can report back that it has not moved at all or even rocked back and forth. I have it on a hardwood floor, so people with carpet might have a different experience.
I also wanted to mention that the box this thing comes in is small and heavy, very different size when compared to the metal media racks. It is in two halves when it ships to you and you have to use screws to put the two pieces together. I was worried that would make it unstable but I tested it before adding the dvds and found that the connection was solid. In fact I think this wood media rack is more stable than the metal media racks I have - which did not come in halves (just very long poles). It also has a nice sleek look when compared to the metal media racks.
