I've been using this T-Fal cookware set for several months now and I'm extremely pleased with my purchase. This set replaced a hard worked 15 year old T-Fal set that was till going strong but was very beat up. First let me start by saying you must read the instructions and season the pots and pans properly. Next when it say's do not use more than medium heat BELIEVE IT. These pots and pans are specifically designed to be light weight they heat up very quickly and cook food evenly. I can't stress this point enough, with this cookware high heat settings will not only damage the cookware but are totally unnecessary; this is a very good thing because this cookware requires much less energy to prepare your food thus saving you money. The other MUST rule you should follow is to use nylon or silicon cooking tools. Nylon and silicon tools are not all that expensive and do not scratch your cookware in addition nylon and silicon cooking tools are much easier to clean than metal ones. Speaking of silicon the handles of the pots and pans are made of silicon making them very comfortable to hold and not slippery at all the same goes for the lid handles plus they don't transfer heat so no more burned fingers. Most of the time I wash my pots and pans by hand but with this cookware I figured I would try the dishwasher on light wash to see what would happen.... they came out sparkling clean and looking fantastic. I use this cookware almost everyday and so far none of the pots or pans have discolored, scratched or shown any sign of wear at all and they still look like new. I did do one other thing when I ordered this set, I ordered a few cookware organizers for inside my kitchen cabinets and boy am I glad I did. Now I don't have to stack my pots and pans on top of each other and their all very easy to get to plus no more of the old pot and pan shuffle routine that we've all come to hate. Another big plus to not stacking your pots and pans, they don't scratch each other. I know this is a no brainer but I though I would mention it anyway. You should be very careful when handling the glass lids, if you drop one on a hard kitchen floor it will break. That hasn't happened to me with this set but has happened to me in the past. A few other reviewers have mentioned how condensation builds up on the lids..... of course it does when things get hot they emit steam and it condenses on the inside of the lids but it should be noted that the condensation does not drip onto the stove top or burners like some lids do with these lids what doesn't go out the vent hole on the lid just drips right back into the pot or pan. This is a well made, functional and attractive cookware set that should, if handled with care last for many years, that's why I gave it five stars.

Cooking with Non-stick Cookware

The "Chef" in the family needed new pots !
And he loves them ! I got my son-in-law this set plus some added larger individual pots. Stock pot was a must. Only negative report was-----from my Daughter: Already chipping on the bottom of the pots & pans after only a cpl of weeks of VERY CAREFUL use.... But... BIG BUT... with the heavy quality of the metal, the sturdy brackets on the handle, EVEN, FAST heating, & extremely comfortable grip.. I'll overlook a little chipping on the bottom!!! Hmmm... If that's what my daughter says, I guess that means they're a keeper. I hope they don't chip again.
