Good for portion control, but wish the quality was better

Good for portion control, but wish the quality was better
I like these containers for the separated compartments. I can make my lunches for the week on Sunday and have them ready to grab before work each day. It definitely helps with portion control, too. The quality is similar to that of Chinese takeout containers. They definitely don't seem like they'll hold up to much abuse, which won't be a problem for me but is something to consider if using it for kids or a husband like mine that will probably be less careful with it. Lol. I bought these during a black Friday sale so I feel like I got a good deal for what they are. I took off one star in part because of the durability and because I have only hand washed them and already noticed that a piece was chipped off one of the container's lips. It may have come that way and I didn't notice it, or it was so delicate that it came off during a hand washing or removing of the lid. Kind of a bummer, but the container is still usable at least.

It seems we all have more than enough plastic containers around for one reason or another.
My hubby rolled his eyes when these arrived, since it was "more plastic junk" to wash!

Well, I am happy to report that these seal very well, and do a good job at keeping foods separated.
I am partially disabled and have a mini-fridge upstairs, so these work well to fix a few lunches and put
    in the fridge for me.

I have not yet tried them in the freezer, although they claim to be freezer safe as well.
My ONLY complaint about them is how high up the lid part stands. It really reduces the amount of
containers that can be stacked together, simply because of a lack of room on the shelf. Unless you
were packing things with frosting or meringues on them (and I wouldn't use these for desserts), there
is no real point for the height on the lid. Other than that - I like these a lot.

I have recently started trying to eat healthier so I was so excited to find these lunch box sets. I spent the day preparing healthy meals for the week and these portion controlled containers have solved my storage needs. I simply grab am already prepared meal from the refrigerator and heat it up in the microwave, or take with me for lunch. They arrived stacked with the containers on the bottom and the lids on top. They were all in perfect condition and easy to use. They have 3 compartments 1 larger one and 2 smaller ones. For myself I used the larger for my meat selection and the 2 smaller for veggies. Although the larger could be used for a healthy salad. My daughter hates to have her food touching so using a single compartment container is not much of an option for her to grab and go. They are very sturdy and I can't see having any issue with the microwave.

I ordered these boxes because I am starting to do meal prepping (I know I'm late), and wanted something plastic in medium-large size, leak proof, and microwave/freezer safe. It took me a while to decide which seller to buy from, but ultimately I went with the best price for my checklist. I've already filled 4 containers, and used one bowl/lid straight from the refrigerator to the microwave. So far things are looking good. My food was heated evenly, and the cleanup was a breeze. The plastic on each piece is still looking like new after two reheats, and hasn't been distorted at all. I'm only giving it 4 Stars because I haven't tested the material out for freezer capability, but otherwise I would recommend at this stage. I actually already have in a way. My housemates saw mine and I told them to get their own!

Update 3/26/2017: After a few weeks of use, heating meals in microwave, and several hand washes (I don't use a dish washer), I'm loving this product! It more than serves it's purpose, has plenty of room, heats evenly without changes in the plastic, and is a great value. I still haven't tested them in the freezer, but they are solid construction with tight lids, so I believe they would work well. As I said before, I would definitely recommend this product.

LOVE these, I was utilizing a "on-line" chef inspired meal delivery service for dieting. I am diabetic and I was really having a hard time losing weight... The meals I ordered worked, but they were expensive. The lightbulb moment for me was that the chef meals simply were portion controlling my appetite (Diabetics tend to have a larger appetite), so I decided what the heck? I can cook 3 different health meals and order these and make my own low sodium, well healthy seasoned meals. Has done wonderful, I am few more pounds lighter, and I find myself using them even if I simply cook dinner to eat that night. They freeze well and clean up well even after heating food up in them and the top seals very well. If I am cooking dinner for that night I use these to "measure" out my portion, if it don't fit it don't get cooked.

These containers are great for meals if you keep the containers flat but they are NOT leak-proof. Ziploc used to make a 3-compartment leak-proof container perfect for lunches but they no longer make these. Each ziploc compartment was separated and the lid sealed all three at once and you didn't have your watermelon leaking into your sandwich. So I am on a quest for a comparable product. I purchased these because they were advertised as leak-proof and seemed like the closest thing I had seen. When they arrived I opened one, poured some water into one compartment, closed the lid tight and turned the container sideways as they would be packed for lunches in my kids' backpacks. As I feared, the water leaked into the other compartments and then right out of the container. If you won't be turning them on their sides, they felt fairly sturdy (I did not think they were flimsy as other reviews stated)--both the lid and the bottom--and seemed to be fairly high quality for 10 containers in the range of $17. I returned them with no problem. Good luck!

Great meal planning trays. Portion sizes are quite adequate. Some reviews on here have said they've snapped after a day which I can't see how that's happened. I don't baby these trays but I also don't throw them around and sit on them. I wash them by hand but they've had more pressure by the sink faucet than a top rack dishwasher would do and they're perfectly fine. They microwave and fridge (yes, I'm using fridge as a verb) with no issue. And you do get 10 of them, not like how some companies do it like 5 lids and 5 trays and call it a 10 pack.

If you're looking to make meals for the week, this is a wonderful product and is worth the asking price of 20 dollars.

Good takeout containers. The good thing about these are that you're able to microwave them. I have been using it for a while and they are still good. The size is decent for moderate meals (e.g. 1.5 cup of rice + 6 oz chicken).

Very convenient stuff. The plastic could be sturdier actually, but the trade off is the container literally weighs nothing... I've been using them every day for couple weeks by this moment, and they are still like new. Will see how they behave on the long run, but so far my impression is highly positive. This is definitely a recommended product!

Got a great price on these and I'm glad I got them. Will be perfect for the frozen dinners I send along with my husband when he works out of town. The two compartments will keep the foods separate nicely. The lids seem to snap on tightly. I haven't used them yet as they just arrived, so fingers crossed they'll go from freezer to microwave to being washed and reused.
