Product Description

The Globe Electric Architect 32" Multi-Joint Desk Lamp with Metal Clamp is an ideal option for any desk lighting. The upper spring-loaded swing arm is easily adjustable to direct light wherever you need it the most while the metal clamp is perfect to mount on study tables, workstations or home office desks. The bottom half of the body is nonadjustable and is beautifully designed with a decorative spring. The six-foot cord allows you the ability to place the light anywhere you want regardless of where your wall socket is located, while the on/off switch is conveniently located at the top of the lamp for quick and easy use. This light fixture requires one 60W max E26 base Edison bulb (sold separately).

I bought this lamp as 'used-acceptable.' It was certainly that. There was damage to the box as expected and some markings on the lamp's base. I was amazed that there was no real damage to the lamp itself. The light cover was slightly bent and could be bent back to fit. Once I put it together and cleaned the markings off the base of the lamp as well as I could, it looks practically brand new and works perfectly. I love it!!
Definitely happy that I skipped the full price version for this one!

I wanted this one because it comes with a base - making it easy to move around on most any table. If you stretch the lamp out all the way it will tip over, so a mark off for that. It is more expensive than a very very similar desk lamp from a certain Swedish blue box store, but that one only clamps on to desks/tables - no base. Works well, happy to have it - don't over-tighten the various screw components.

I bought one maybe a year or so ago. Works great. Easy mobility, easy to install, etc. Quality for price was great, so much so, that I just bought another one for an additional reading area.

The only reason I lowered the stars was because the lamp head doesn't swivel. I expected that even though I didn't see it in the description. OK! I didn't really look!
Anyway, it mounts well and very solidly, angles around and stays solidly where you set it.

I had worries that it's not sturdy enough, you know, nowadays most products have an "optimized" mount mechanism but this one works unexpectedly well as my every day desk lamp. I have 150cm desk and it's mounted on the far left side and it works well for me sitting at the right side of the desk. I have to say that I type, not write. For writing you may want to mount it closer.
