That said, here are a couple of (hopefully) helpful notes. First, the tubing is easier to manage when it is warm. Consider letting it sit in the sun for 15 minutes before you get started installing it.
Second, gardening gloves will help you grip the tubing better.
Third, it is hard to dismantle this and reassemble this, not impossible, but hard. You will end up with little leaks and you'll probably waste some of the tubing and connectors that you can't get unconnected. Take the time to lay out your plan before you attach things together.
Fourth, the brown drip hose can be used to water trees really well. Cut a piece that includes about three holes. Wrap around the tree once and connect with a 1/2 T connector so that you have a ring around the base. Hook this up to the black 1/2 inch tubing and you are set. Hook up several trees this way.
Finally, this is not really what you need if you are trying to water rows of crops, like carrots or beets, where you have a plant every several inches. You would want soaker/weeper hose for that. You can get that and connect it up with this kit.
Each persons need are different so I wont get in the specifics of my system. I will say I have about 50 emitters on my kit and no issues at all. I read this tubing can support 200 emitters (200 gallons per hour). Not sure though.
Here is what I would recommend buying on top of this kit.
Get the tube cutter. A razor blade will work too but it's hard to get a perfect cut with one. Their cutter is like $12 but works very good. Not necessary but nice to have for sure.
Buy the accessory that flares your tubing. It's just a few bucks. You put it inside the tubing and move it around and it flares the ends. It allows you to slip it over elbows and other fittings easily. Otherwise you need to use hot water or have very very good hand strength. Even then its still tough. Just buy the flaring tool.
Chances are you will need more 45 degree elbows. Buy a lot extra, I used a ton.
Conduit clamps work great to secure tubing to wood raised beds if you need them. They are super cheap too.
Get a timer. Im using the BHyve smart timer. $56 at home depot and its great. I can control with my phone and it monitors the weather to delay watering if needed. Ive been using it for a month and works awesome. Runs on batteries too. Orbit makes mechanical and digital timers too.
Definitely spend the $2 on the adapter to plug the end of your kit. They give you a piece of plastic that crimps the plastic tube. The end cap is way better. You can add onto later as well if needed, but the main benefit is no leaks.
I used 100% emitters on my system and didnt use any of the copper colored tubing. You can buy emitters that disperse more water too. 1-4gph. It means you can give different plants different amounts of water on the same system and same timer. I used 2gph to fill my city pickers gardening kits, and 1gph emitters for my raised beds. Works great.
If you are new to drip irrigation and dont understand how it all works, this is a great way to get started. Makes watering so much easier.
The bad news is that the fittings for the faucet tap were of poor quality, or else had somehow been damaged in warehouse---they are plastic, and excess heat could have caused damage. The fittings were very difficult to assemble, and a crucial fitting leaked. After three (count them!) calls to customer service, I finally got through to someone who sent a replacement. The replacement fittings, although clearly the same parts, fit together smoothly and easily, and without leaking. I wish I had got such fittings on the first try.
The customer-service experience is embarrassing. Most often, after fighting my way through a voice-mail menu, I was told they wouldn't take my call, and I'd be disconnected. But they'd happily give me a discount code for their web site! When I was lucky, I'd get disconnected after finishing the voice mail. But sometimes I would wait on hold for several minutes and THEN get disconnected. And when I did finally get connected, the representative wasn't always helpful. As in "how do I get the hoses off the fittings?" Answer: "You pull them off." Well, no you don't. Cutting them off works, as does softening with heat. Pulling them off is a recipe for frustration and for damaging your plants.

I actually wanted to buy a second one, but coming back a month later and amazon has doubled the price. Not sure what's going on, but I'm going to wait to see if it goes back down.
